Graduation Application

The deadline to apply for graduation for the spring 2023 semester is February 28, 2023.
Ground campus students: should complete the graduation application online https://forms.office.com/r/9AtJLkmPHc Online-Spanish students: should complete the graduation application in My AGMU Student Portal.

Student arrival at ceremonies

Students must arrive no later than 45 minutes prior to the start of the ceremony.
Please allow time for parking and walking to the venue.
Signs and volunteers will direct you to the student check-in area.
Venues will open their doors 30 minutes before the ceremony start time for guests.

Seating is open and no reserved seating will be permitted.

Cap and Gown

Florida students: All ground campuses will host ticket & regalia pick up events in May. Students will receive pick up information via email by May 1, 2023.

Main/Online Spanish will host ticket & regalia pick up event in May. Students will receive pick up information via email by May 1, 2023.

Main/Online-Spanish students who are unable to pick up their cap & gown and tickets on this day, will be mailed their tickets and will pick up with cap & gown the day of the ceremony at the venue.

Guest Tickets

Graduates will be given four (4) guest tickets. Limited additional tickets may be available closer to the ceremony date.

Standards for Regalia

Only University approved regalia may be worn.

Students are permitted to decorate their mortar board in an appropriate and safe manner.

University staff reserves the right to not allow a student to wear regalia that is deemed inappropriate or unsafe.

Ceremony Livestream

The Commencement Ceremonies will be livestreamed on the web for viewing.

Links will be posted on this page and on our social media accounts.

Accommodations for students and guests with disabilities

Accessible seating is available at all the venues for guests. Sections will be identified, and volunteers will direct your guests to the appropriate seating areas.

Degree Conferral & Diploma Process

The official degree conferral process will be completed by June 12, 2023 as long as all academic and financial requirements have been met.

Students will receive a formal diploma cover at the ceremony.

After degrees are conferred, printed diplomas will be mailed withing 8 weeks of degree conferral, as long as there is no outstanding account balance or hold on the student account.

Professional Photography at Ceremonies

A professional photographer will be present to photograph each graduate and will also be roaming throughout the venues.

Photos will be made available to students within 2 weeks after each ceremony.
